On this special day, we want to say thank you for everything you do. Happy Teachers’ Day!

Short Speech on Teachers Day in English

Good morning,

Respected Principal Sir, teachers, and my dear friends.

My name is Riyansh. Today is Teachers’ Day, a day to honor our teachers.

We gather here to celebrate their significance in our lives.

In India, we celebrate Teacher’s Day on the 5th of September every year.
This date was chosen to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, one of the greatest teachers and scholars in our country.
He was born on 5th September 1888. Dr. Radhakrishnan asked his students to celebrate this day as Teacher’s Day instead of his birthday.
Since 1962, we have been celebrating it as Teacher’s Day. Dr. Radhakrishnan was also a respected politician and served as the first Vice President and second President of India.

Teachers are like our guides who not only educate us but also help us grow into responsible individuals.

We salute all the teachers who play a vital role in shaping our future.Lastly, I want to thank all our teachers on behalf of all the students for always being there when we needed you.

We look up to you and try to follow your example. Your teachings will always guide us towards our dreams.

I want to end this speech with a beautiful Sanskrit shloka:
गुरुर्ब्रह्मा ग्रुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः ।
गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः ॥
“Guru is our Brahma, Guru is our Vishnu, Guru is our God, and we salute such a Guru.”

Thank you, and Happy Teachers’ Day!
